25 Years of Century Fire: Built on Values, Powered by People
Twenty-five years ago, Century Fire Protection started with a single truck, no company name, and a whole lot of grit. What’s happened since? A quarter century of protecting people and property, growing careers and earning trust, one project at a time.
Today, with more than 2,000 employees across 40 offices and 13 states, we’re proud to celebrate this milestone with the people who made it happen: our employees, our customers, and our partners.
From Pipefitter to Industry Leader
As part of this incredible milestone, we decided to take the opportunity to reflect a bit on where we are and how we got here. At our 2025 company-wide Town Hall, we heard our origin story firsthand from Founder Scott Tutterow. And the truth is – it’s not all that different from the story many of our team members are living today.
Scott got his start in the field. At 18, he was running pipe, learning on the job, and proving that hard work and integrity could take you far. In 2000, he took a leap, and Century Fire Protection was born.
We’ve come a long way since then. But the foundation is still the same.

This milestone belongs to all of us. Across our offices, we’ve marked 25 years with gratitude, recognition, and a little bit of fun. But it’s not just about celebrating—we’re also giving back.

As if the anniversary wasn’t enough to celebrate, this year we officially earned our Great Place to Work® Certification, based directly on employee feedback. For us, it’s more than a badge. It’s proof that our culture of trust, support, and opportunity is working.
